Our Beginner's Series is called "Scrapbook Design and You." An incredible foundation for any srapbooker. For more information about SDU Classes, please click here. To "Die" For Series -- $15 materials (Class #1 is FREE to VIP and Die Cut Club Members)Some say die cuts are dead, but not at The Cropper's Corner! We have some fun dies in our die cut center, from alphabets and shapes to card and craft dies. Come take this series of classes to see what dies we have, and the fun things you can do with them. Each week we'll cover a different die cut specialty, and we'll teach you how to embellish your die cuts and turn them from ho-hum into whoo-hoo! We'll explore many mediums and techniques in this class including things like:: chalk, pen-art, suedes & fabrics, beads & glitter, jewels, magnets, xyron, paper weaving, color blocking, cards, tags and more. So, throw out what you thought die cuts were all about -- and be prepared to have a blast!
Creative Lettering Classes -- By Dana Swords Creative Doodling: How do you doodle? Let Dana show you how! From schwoopies and buds to flowers and bugs, from cherries and snowflakes and cute little kids, Dana will show you it all and you will be amazed how easy it is! Intro to Creative Lettering: Do you have a collection of pens that you don’t really know how to use? Come learn tips on creating quick and easy lettering styles that will give your pages a custom look. The instructor will provide handouts, scrap paper, and pens to use. Bring any pens you already have.Letter Like the Pros: Have you mastered the basics of lettering yet and ready to move on? This class will take off where the basics left off and “pen-it-up” with some new and hi-tech lettering styles! We’ll explore step-by-step instructions on how to make those fancy letters you see such as letters with curves, leaves, flowers and more! Inspired by lettering books by Becky Higgins and Memory Makers Magazine, you will learn how to letter better! Brush Lettering and Color Layering: Inspired by Susy Ratto’s amazing lettering styles, this class will teach you the basics of the brush lettering style and the ease of color layering. You will leave with some great samples (done by you) using colorful pens by Tombow. Photography Classes -- By Renae Bachand Photography 101: How to take better pictures. This class will teach you the basics of a camera, lighting techniques, and how to improve on taking better photos. No matter how much or how little you know about picture taking, come and learn new tips and tricks from a professional photographer. You will leave Photography 101 with a new appreciation and understanding of photography. After you conquer this class, come and join us for a hands-on workshop in the next level, Photography, Beyond the Basics. Beyond the basics of 35mm Camera (or, getting the most out of your SLR)

This class is dedicated to scrapbooking ourselves, following the tips and suggestions given in the popular book, All About Me. Come and let Stephanie help you preserve those precious memories by creating pages to help celebrate you baby’s 1st year! You’ll be cooing at all the sweet pages you will create! Let us help you navigate your holiday photos with many inspirational ideas. Chalking Magic:Yes, let's talk about chalk -- no, not the chalk you may have banged out of erasers at school -- but decorators chalk. This easy (and forgiving) design technique can make even the most basic items on your page sing (yes, even photos). Colorblocking - : (Dana Swords)Layout and design made easy with colorblocking, and/or the Pages By Design System. Explore the basics of colorblocking and all the cool tools on the market to help you (from templates to die cuts). (All Levels) Cardmakers Club: (Patti Manchester )(3 hour class)Everything you will need to know about making handmade cards for your family and friends! Students will learn how to make single-fold cards, tri-fold cards and gift card holders. A variety of all-occasion cards will be made at this class as well as Valentine and St. Patrick's Day cards! 3-hour class (Cards Only) Disney Days: (Patti Manchester) Disney at its best -- pages for your vacation album or for the Disney Days of your life! Elegant Scrapbooking:Fabulous Fonts & Delicious Digital:Have you ever wondered how the computer is used to create wonderful titles and interesting journaling text for your pages? If so, Join Kelly as she sorts it all out for you. Students will learn how to use Microsoft Word to manipulate fonts and text to create unique titles, journaling text and background paper. If you have a laptop computer and wish to bring it to calls, you are more than welcome to do so. YOU DO NOT NEED A LAPTOP IN ORDER TO ATTEND. We have a computer in the classroom that we will be using (printer too!) (Intermediate-to-Advanced) Fresh & Funky Growing Up Me: This class is for you and your child -- or youngster -- to scrapbook their stories, from their perspective. There will be 10 different themes we'll be exploring, as well as various scrapbook techniques as we guide younger scrappers through the ins and outs of the scrapbook maze. It’s A Girl Thing!: Do you have a girly-girl or are one yourself? Come and work with all things girl! Embellishments that are glittery, sparkley in colors of pinks and purple will all be used in the name of feminine creativity! It's Sew Easy: Mostly Military & Patriotic Pages:Express your pride and patriotism by displaying your military photos and patriotic holidays in unique and creative ways in your photo albums! Page ideas for all branches of the Armed Forces will be given, as well as ideas on how to organize military albums and how to display special awards, ribbons, etc. Each class will focus on one branch of the military at a time. (Intermediate) Pages By Design (Dana Swords) “Paws”itively Perfect Pet Pages (Heidi Martin): Furry & fuzzy, slimy or scales, we all love our pets! Join the fun in learning about some great techniques, products, and ideas for showing off all the members of your family! Quilling Basics:Quilling Creatively:Paper Piecing: (Dana Swords)Places We Go: Take a ride on the attractions of our lives, from places to see in Washington, DC -- to King's Dominion and Bush Gardens, NASCAR races, Monster Truck Rallies, the circus and more! Quilting Bee: To do this technique, you need two things: correctly sized quilt patterns, plus color coordinated papers with small patterns. You’ll find both of these in this class. The quilted look is wonderful – and easy to duplicate with this class. Radical Retro: License plates, bottle caps, fonts from the ‘50’s, game boards and fun colors are all the rage in scrapbooking these days and Kelly will show you how to put it all together. There are tons of products out there that you can use to capture this hot and hip style for your scrapbook pages. 2-hour class $10 plus materials. All skill levels. That’s “Fasten” ating!: (Dana Swords) Conventional to crazy! Scrappers are using all kinds of fasteners, hooks, clips and clamps on their pages! Explore the possibilities with everything from eyelets & brads to hardware store findings! Titles & Borders: What is a scrapbook page without the perfect title or beautiful border? Carie will share numerous ideas with you on how to create these very important embellishments for your pages. The perfect class for those who have completed a beginner scrapbooking class! Vintage Chic: (Dana Swords) Scrapbooking is all about preserving memories. Join Dana as she explores ways of preserving your cherished heritage photos, and helps you get that Vintage Chic look.
